Pinterest, Curation, and Staying Organized.

Interesting Read:  Pinterest, Tumblr and the Trouble With ‘Curation’ from the New York Times.

After starting my Pinterest account over a year ago, I've come to rely on it for not only a way to find inspiration, but primarily as a way to stay organized, such as saving online finds and keeping track of recipes. Like many fashionistas, I love my monthly fashion glossies. However, as much as I would love to store them all forever, I definitely don't have the space. As a result, I usually tear out the pages I really REALLY love and keep them. My original way of keeping them in a somewhat organized system was to glue them into a sketchbook, which is rather tedious and messy. But I finally clued into the fact that I could easily scan the pages I wanted, crop and resize them, and then upload them to my Pinterest account, saving me space, time, and allowing me to sort them (and resort them) whenever and however I wanted.

And besides, digitizing and sorting my magazine tear outs gives me an attempt to justify why I'm not doing laundry... Check out my Pinterest boards here!

Do you use Pinterest? If so, how do you find it helps you?
